 The family has a background of 150 years in SOLAN. The forefathers shifted from Rajasthan when the Government of India ( British) started constructing the Kalka Shimla railway line and they were the food contractors to the project. Later the family was into money lending business and used to finance the small erstwhile states. With passage of time family grew and divisions took place. Overall the family at large controls lots of businesses in Solan.

Late. Shri Murari lal Goyal started a hardware and steel business in 1965 and later in 1980 to pursue his religious goals, left Solanand shifted to Radha Soami Satsang Beas. He did Sewa there for 24 years and was head of various departments during his time there. The family are followers of the same belief.
